in short:

This eBook explores how organizations can safely harness the value of generative AI by establishing a strong governance and security framework. It outlines the guardrails, policies and technical safeguards needed to enable innovation while mitigating risk, especially as the adoption of artificial intelligence accelerates across the enterprise.

Enhance your knowledge of artificial intelligence with our five-part e-book series designed to help you turn artificial intelligence into action. This e-book is part 5 of our 5-part series on AI. Explore the full series below.

Book 1: AI literacy is everything. Here’s your 5-step success plan

Book 2: Leveraging AI for quick wins: How to turn use cases into measurable business value

Book 3: Leadership in Action: Artificial Intelligence Strategic Planning and Implementation

Book 4: Build your strategic AI platform

Book 5: Harnessing AI with confidence: Establishing an AI governance and security framework

The rapid rise of generative AI presents a multi-trillion dollar economic opportunity for ambitious, forward-thinking organizations. But it also comes with harrowing risks, such as data breaches, hallucinatory content, copyright lawsuits and regulatory fines. To navigate this tightrope, organizations must establish strong AI governance and security frameworks that balance innovation with risk management.

Many organizations are concerned about adopting AI without strict governance standards. But frankly, it’s too late to pretend that generative AI hasn’t already taken the world by storm. It’s almost certain that if you don’t yet formally offer an AI solution, your employees will be using shadow AI tools and exposing your organization’s data to non-enterprise tools. Your sales reps are looking for consumer-grade tools to compose emails to prospects. Your engineers are solving coding challenges with the help of robots. And, in the name of efficiency, they unknowingly share proprietary information with the wider Internet.

So how do you manage artificial intelligence to enable safe innovation?

“It is critical that business leaders install guardrails, implement security frameworks and establish effective governance structures,” said Aaron Richmond, senior solutions architect at SHI. “Effective governance goes beyond just blocking risk; done well, it enables safe innovation so your teams can confidently leverage AI as a powerful tool.”

Effective governance moves AI guardrails and security frameworks from concept to actionable reality. It’s the connective tissue that brings your AI strategy to life, ensuring it’s both ambitious and accountable. Without a functional governance structure, even the best security measures can remain disconnected from day-to-day operations.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
