Meta AI: To compete with Google, Microsoft and Open AI, Facebook’s parent company Meta is going to add generative artificial intelligence to its Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger apps. With the addition of AI, many great features will be available in all these three apps, in which users will get the facility to generate media formats like text, image, sound etc. in response to short commands or prompts.
You will Let us tell you that Meta’s annual Connect Developer Conference was organized on 27th September. On this occasion, CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the new AI tools coming on Meta Apps. Also gave information about AI editing tool, AI characters and AI Studio.
AI editing tool
Meta AI editing tool on Instagram next month- Also introducing restyle and backdrop. Restyle allows users to reimagine their images by applying a new visual style that they specify. Whereas Background provides the facility to change or create the background of the photo with the background specified by the users.
AI Characters
Meta is also introducing an initial set of 28 character-based AI chatbots in its messaging app. In this, answers to many types of questions will be found on topics like travel, games and food. Meta has partnered with various cultural icons and influencers to play some of the AI characters. Each of them will have a profile on Instagram and Facebook. These people include social media personality Charli D’Amelio, supermodel Kendall Jenner, YouTube star MrBeast, tennis player Naomi Osaka, socialite Paris Hilton and rapper Snoop Dogg. For now, the meta character will be limited to text chat and there are plans to add voices early next year.
AI Studio
Zuckerberg also unveiled AI Studio. Did, with the help of which people will be able to create AI characters. Developers will be able to create third-party AI characters for the company’s messaging services with its API in the coming weeks. It will start with Messenger and will later be extended to WhatsApp. In the first half of next year, creators can create these AI characters to increase their virtual presence.
