The New England Patriots’ three games were three under .500, but had a three-pointer against the New York Jets in Week 17. According to NFL odds maker 5Dimes, the more than a handful of sets to 40 points. The game will be aired on CBS and CBS branches at noon Sunday (EST).

The New York Jets were 2-13 and won the last two games. Obviously, it’s hardly good this 2020 season and is close to the bottom of all major statistics categories. It gave up almost twice in the third-team defense, scoring 28.6 points per game, with a difference of -13.3 points.

The jet does not have a lot of silver linings. Sam Darnold struggled, as his 67.2 passer score proved it. His finish was only 58% throwing, averaged six yards per finish and threw only nine draft picks, second only to five touchdowns. Besides that, he was fired three times per game, and he lost 164 yards in those games. Darnold somehow averages 7.5 yards per run, but he has tried only 23 times this season.

Darnold finished with 175 yards and two touchdowns in 32 against the Browns last week. Frank Gore led the snatch attack with 48 yards in 14 attempts, while Darnold scored 20 yards in his seven attempts. Jamison Crowder led the receiver and touchdown with seven catches of 92 yards. The Jets managed to score three catch touchdowns in a 23-16 victory.

Leading Frank Gore is only Darnold at four yards per carry, except for Ty Johnson’s other major choices. Four receivers have 256 yards or more, with the top three all-averages of 12 yards or more, but the Jets do have a lot of work to do on both ends of the football and are about to fall to 0-13, which seems to be Seattle favored by more than 2 touchdowns. While there must be some talent on the roster, it doesn’t make that good, and the offensive line has been weak throughout the season.

It’s the secret to “bad football” and the Jets do need to add a lot of talent and organizers to both ends of the football. Overall, it faces a competitive team and is undisputedly the worst team in football, so combining these two factors makes this game unlikely to be close, but the Jets are just three-pointers so odds makers have the confidence that the Jets can continue to play to their recent level of progress.
